Formulae for Surface area and volume

Whenever we are solving any numerical, a formula plays an important role in its solution. Most of the time we know about the solution but forgets the formula., So here are the few formulae that are going to help in solving the Mathematics pedagogy problems.

Surface Area: The area of the outer part or uppermost layer of something.
Volume: The amount of space that a substance or object occupies, or that is enclosed within a container.
2 dimensional figures do not have volume.

Surface area of 2 Dimensional figures:

Circle - 𝝿 r²
Square - side²

Rectangle - length* breadth
Triangle - ½*base*height

Surface area and volume of 3 - Dimensional figures:

C.S.A: Curved Surface Area or Lateral Surface Area
T.S.A : Total Surface Area
r - Radius
h - height (here vertical height)
l - length ( cuboid)
b -breadth
l - slant height ( cone,frustum)
r₁ - radius 1
r₂ - radius 2
 Figure  C.S.A T.SA  Volume
 Cuboid

 2h(l+b) 2(lb+bh+hl) l*b*h
 Cube  4a² 6a² a³
 Cylinder  2𝝿rh 2𝝿r(r+h) 𝝿r²h
 Cone  𝝿rl
where l is

 𝝿r(r+l)1/3 𝝿r²h
 Sphere   4𝝿r² 4/3𝝿r³
 Hemisphere  2𝝿r² 3𝝿r² 2/3𝝿r³
 Frustum  𝝿l(r₁+r₂) where l is
 𝝿l(r₁+r₂)+𝝿(r₁²+r₂²) 1/3𝝿h(r₁²+r₂²+r₁r₂)

Keep revising all these formulae and practice as many numerical as you can as these are going to help not only in Paper 2 but also in Paper 1.
